Our
Steckborn: Steckborn is located on Untersee and is a pretty municipality with 3,700 inhabitants and a picturesque old town. The town is not large, but you can take a wonderful stroll along the lake or wander through the beautiful old town.
Gottlieben: This tiny village with just 340 inhabitants on the Rhine between Untersee and Lake Constance is a real gem. And as the name suggests, the popular Gottlieber Hüppen are made here. If you are interested, it is best to make a detour to the Gottlieber Seecafé & Manufakturladen, where you can buy the crispy delicacies in all variations.
Romanshorn: The small town of Romanshorn on Lake Constance, with a population of just under 10,000, has a beautiful harbour from which numerous boat trips are offered on Lake Constance all the way to Germany. A trip on the ferry to Friedrichshafen (Germany) is highly recommended. But be sure to wait for the trip at sunset, the atmosphere over Lake Constance as the sun slowly sets is just so beautiful...
Bischofszell, which has a population of around 5,550, is listed in the inventory of sites worthy of protection in Switzerland and is characterised above all by its old town, which looks like something straight out of a picture book. The original town centre is relatively small and you will quickly have seen everything, but it is really fun to walk around the houses and take in the original charm of the beautiful old buildings.
The cantonal capital Frauenfeld is a lively town surrounded by greenery. Here, the picturesque old town with its rich historical background and the wonderfully gentle Thurgau countryside with its hills, waters, vineyards and timber-framed houses complement each other in a marvellous way. Whether it's a guided tour of the old town, a round of city golf or a hike with a picnic, there's something for everyone. The Thurgau History Museum in Frauenfeld Castle, the Nature Museum and the Museum of Archaeology present exciting exhibitions from times gone by. The family-friendly Plättli Zoo offers animal fun. We also recommend a trip to the nearby Stählibuck viewing tower.
