The Iddle Rocks was founded in 1913 by the baker of the little town of St. Mawes, and although it has grown to the luxurious hotel it is today it never lost that familiar charm and cozyness on the way.

The hotel has a special dinner schedule too, in order to ensure tranquility for all its guests: families with little children – an age when they are undoubtedly louder – will be asked to dine a little earlier (before 19:00).

The Idle Rocks is perfect if you want to travel with your pet. It has two rooms on the ground floor where you can stay with your dog, with an increase of 30 pounds on the reservation price. The hotel’s staff can recommend a wide number of dog-friendly beaches in the surroundings. Although animal are not permitted in the main building, dogs can enjoy a large terrace under the supervision of the hotel staff whist their owners have lunch at the restaurant. But if they prefer, guests with pets can eat at the twin property, the St. Mawes Hotel, where animals are welcome.
