Hotel Lodge La Petite Couronne

Active relaxation anyone? If you want to relax, see beautiful countryside and perhaps enjoy a number of activities, then may we suggest the lovely Hôtellerie La Petite Couronne, which opened its doors to the public in 2009.
This is a place that “targets guests who like active relaxation during their holidays”. First things first, the Petite Couronne is certainly very good at the relaxation part.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted with a glass of “Floc de Gascogne”, the main local drink, and the luggage is taken care for you. In short, service is focused purely to making a stay here as fantastic as possible.
It is situated in a very quiet location in the charming village of Saint Cricq Chalosse, a large wooden building that hints of modernity. Indeed, there’s definitely a hint of dutch design behind the pastel colours of the room and the neat and spotless furnishings. Well the charming couple who run the La Petite Couronne are Dutch, after all.
Rooms, all ten of them, are large and boast either a terrace or balcony which offer vistas of the Chalosse hills. As mentioned, design comes with a hint of Dutch. Neutral colours, modernity and no little sophistication.

NEW! La Petite Couronne has opened in 2014 their own restaurant L'Auberge du laurier (open for lunch and dinner), which is situated across the road, in a building dating back more than a hundred years.  In the past, travellers, local people and those passing through used to eat and sleep there.This building has been renovated as an up-to-date restaurant, where you are welcome to enjoy an aperitif by the fireside followed by lunch or dinner in one of the three dining rooms. When the weather is fine, you are invited to sit in the garden with a magnificent view of our giant bay tree against the background of the Pyrenees.
The manager Nabil, with his great enthusiasm for gastronomy and fine dining, will make you personally welcome. His experience in hospitality goes back many years and he will ensure that you feel pleasantly at home with us.

Now for the activity part. If you are looking for a little action, the hilly Chalosse area offers plenty of opportunities and the hotel itself will be more than happy to help you on this score.
What type of activities? Too many to mention here but the beach and the mountains are less than an hour away. For a small taster we suggest having a look at the hotel board, whether you´re interest is in nature, culture, sports or gastronomy, there’s plenty to choose from.
