Chateau de la Resle

If you want to mix 17th century grandeur, 21st century facilities and good old fashioned home from home hospitality, then the Chateau de la Resle should be on your list of places to visit.
Johan and Pieter have transformed this old and beautiful chateau in such a way that it effortlessly combines the worlds of a luxury boutique hotel with the personal attention of a privately owned bed & breakfast.
It is a wonderful mix. The owners are urbane and artistic people and have magically added their own private collection of contemporary art and design to the sober mix of traditional French “Chateau style” furnishings and architecture.
The result is uplifting and proof that old, historic accommodations don’t have to be stuffy or monotonous. Old iron gates, well kept gardens and architecture in the traditional French mold share equal billing with strong earthy colours, vanguard paintings and modern furnishings.
All in all, Johan and Pieters charm and willingness to help guest make the most of the area – restaurants, wineries, sights, things to do (and boy there is a lot to do in this area of Burgundy), the spaciousness and comfort of rooms whether the standard doubles or suites makes the Chateau de la Resle one of those places you will very likely want to return to.
Final note: Though children are welcome at the Chateau de la Resle, Chateau de la Resle leaves it up to parents to decide if their child will enjoy this atmosphere. The accommodation is less suitable for children under 8 years old.
