A Casa Situada em pleno coração de Lisboa, a Casa Balthazar já faz parte da história da cidade. A espectacular vista sobre a cidade, o charme interior e a sua excelente localização apaixonaram Balthazar Roiz Castanheiro, fundador da famosa Confeitaria Nacional, que adquiriu a propriedade em Agosto de 1882. Desde então, e há já cinco gerações, que este "tesouro" pertence à família e é rigorosamente estimado. Durante anos foi a residência habitual da família e também ‘A Fábrica’: era dali que saíam os mais famosos bolos-rei de Portugal e tantas outras especialidades únicas como os pastéis de nata. A antiga fábrica é hoje um restaurante. Recentemente remodelada, a Casa Balthazar combina na perfeição o estilo clássico com o moderno através de uma elegante decoração enriquecida com peças da família. Esta atmosfera familiar presente nos quartos e nas salas proporcionam um agradável conforto e uma experiência única a quem visita a cidade de Lisboa. Wir haben 4 Nächte in diesem sehr schönen und absolut zentral gelegenem Boutique Hotel verbracht. Trotz der Lage schläft man seelenruhig. Es war genau das, was wir uns vorgestellt haben. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir werden wieder nach Lissabon kommen und ganz sicher in der Casa Balthasar einchecken.

Casa Balthazar was a very very lovely small hotel. Our room was large and we had a view of the City. It was quiet and quite comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful obtaining reservations and transport when asked. The spa and pool were relaxing and clean, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hotels location was central. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

Super zentrale Lage in Lissabon. Eine Oase der Ruhe mitten in der Stadt. Super freundliche Bedienung. Klasse Frühstück, alles liebevoll zubereitet. Die Zimmer geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gross. Wir waren schon mehrere Male da und kommen sicher wieder.

We loved our brief one night stay at Casa Balthazar. There was an excellent attention to detail, the accommodations were beautiful, aesthetically unique. Staff was super friendly, kind and helpful. My only complaint was that the bed was super super firm (in the Day of “pillowtop mattresses”) like in days of old. But otherwise everything was sensational. We will be back as we frequent Lisbon.

We had a wonderful few days at Casa Balthazar. Our room was stunning with a fantastic view. The staff were helpful and attentive. Delicious breakfast each morning, good coffee and home baked cakes each day. Lovely location surrounded by wonderful restaurants and bars.

We can absolutely recommend this wonderful hotel. More than 200 € per night is a tough price but it was totally worth it. The staff is friendly and caring, everything was clean, we had delicious breakfast in the quite and relaxing garden, the rooms are spacy and have all there special and unique interior. We loved also the location of the Balthazar- between bairro alto and alfama everything can made by a nice walk. We will definitely come back!

From the moment we arrived we were blown away with the property ! Fantastic staff, very helpful and we were lucky enough to stay in one of the brand new rooms . It was very luxurious and had an amazing view . It overlooked the Rossio station and a little lane of steps . We were really surprised how quiet it was ! The breakfasts were amazing ! A really central location, with a pool in the middle of a gorgeous courtyard . A little tranquil oasis - it was hard to believe we were in the middle of a big city . Highly highly recommend!!!!

Die Secretplaces - Empfehlung mit Casa Balthazar war wunderbar. Top- Lage, wunderschönes Zimmer, Frühstück auf dem Balkon mit Blick in die Stadt und auf die Umgebung- es blieben keine Wünsche offen. Sehr zuvorkommendes und diskretes Perosnal.

My daughter an me have been at that wonderful chilling place. The heated pool in the quiet garden was very comfortable. A nice breakfast was served in the Apt.
