It is a very active region, where you can go kite surfing, running, horse back riding, sailing and will also find many sport associations.

A special experience is the annual kite event in Berck-sur-mer, where more than 700 000 people meet to see the flying kites. Another amazing festival is the nuits secrètes in beginning of August, with many recent music songs.

As Nord-Pas-de-Calais lies at the sea, you also have many beaches to choose from, for relaxing at the beach or even go for a swim in the cold, Atlantic ocean. Watersports are also very famous.
