Hampshire was home to the famous novelist Jane Austen and consequently the county hosts a range of events and exhibitions dedicated to teaching visitors about her life. The Jane Austen House museum is by far the most popular attraction as the museum was the actual house in which Jane Austen lived and wrote in.

Hampshire - Gastronomy

A trip to Hambledon vineyard in Hampshire, which is the oldest commercial vineyard in England (founded in 1952), provides the perfect opportunity to taste some English wine. Hambledon vineyard offer bespoke tours and wine tastings within their beautiful location nestled on the edge of the South Downs.

Winchester hosts the largest farmers market in England, held every second and last Sunday of the month, with over 90 producers showcasing some of Hampshire’s finest local produce.
