Stadsherberg Alphen

The boutique hotel Stadsherberg, in the center of Alphen aan de Rijn, was once a headmaster’s house built in 1895. A hundred years later, the owners transformed the building with much love and attention into a modern inn with a luxurious twist. The warm atmosphere combined with the Dutch hospitality of the owners makes Stadsherberg a meeting point for young and old. Whether you enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a drink in the in-house restaurant, the old inn makes you feel at home and lets you be part of a family.

The accommodation provides 11 boutique rooms from 22m² to 40m². You can choose between a romantic comfort, spacious deluxe and family room type. Each of them is equipped with a Nespresso machine, flat-screen television with an extensive range, direct and fast internet connection, a lovely Swiss Sense double box-spring bed 1.80m x 2.10m and an ensuite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, sink and toilet. Some rooms also have a separate toilet.

The location of the hotel provides the ideal base for discovering the surroundings and beautiful nature of The Netherlands. All major cities are easy to reach: just half an hour away from Alphen, you find cities such as Rotterdam, Utrecht and the capital Amsterdam. If you prefer taking the train, the train station is within walking distance of the accommodation. During winter, the hotel also offers you several “winter packages” including experiences like an overnight stay with a 3-course dinner and an extensive breakfast.
